Support AAI and the Philippine Atheists and Agnostics Society for the Recovery and Relief of the Typhoon Haiyan victims in the Philippines!
As the Philippines reels from the blow of the largest typhoon on record, the AAI Foundation, along with AAI's Philippines affiliate, the Philippine Atheists and Agnostics Society (PATAS), is working to raise funds to provide short-term local support of basic needs for families on the islands of Leyta and Cebu - the hardest-hit islands by the storm - while larger recovery and rebuilding efforts come into place.
Funding is needed for the provision of fresh water, shelter blankets, food and fuel to help families survive until the Philippine military and established international agencies can get established. With members already on the ground, PATAS is poised to deliver short-term services. The target area for relief efforts will be the Hilutungan Island of Cebu, which was hit particularly hard by the typhoon.
Please consider making a donation through the AAI Foundation to support relief efforts. THE NEED IS GREAT, BUT EVERY AMOUNT WILL MAKE A DIFFERENCE. Your donations through the AAI Foundation will go directly to PATAS and their relief efforts. AAI and PATAS will provide regular reports on how they are spending your donations to maximize their impact among the victims. If you live in the US, your donation will also be tax-deductible. You will receive a receipt for your donation from AAI for your records and use.
Thank you for your support and for your assistance in bringing much-needed support to a ravaged country in time of need.
